Supreme Court Verdict Prompts Kano APC to Revise Strategy, Extends Appreciation to Tinubu

In response to the recent Supreme Court judgment, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state is undertaking a strategic reassessment for its future. A meeting held in Abuja on Friday night, attended by key stakeholders, discussed the apex court's decision regarding the 2023 governorship election dispute.

Acknowledging the importance of unity, a broader stakeholders meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Kano, chaired by the party's national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The meeting expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support and commitment to the state and the APC family.

In a joint statement signed by Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa and Malam Muhammad Garba, the meeting appreciated Tinubu's dedication and resolved to keep the doors of the state APC open for new members. Additionally, committees will be established to chart a new course for the party's activities, emphasizing dialogue and unity for enhanced development.

Amidst the legal battle, the meeting commended party members for their maturity and patience, urging them to await the outcome of the upcoming stakeholders meeting on January 25, 2024. Key figures present included Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin, APC Gubernatorial Candidates Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, and Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate Murtala Sule Garo, among others.
